Daylilies come in a wide range of colors, flowering times, sizes and fragrance.  Most are tolerant of full sun, but sometimes they will show sun scaled in hot areas and prefer partial shade.  Most are tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions.

They are the perfect plant for an area where nothing else will grow!  They are also very easy to take care of, requiring little or no maintenance.
