You know it’s springtime when the tulips begin to appear in Kelowna flower shops and in gardens around the Okanagan.

We know our flower shop customers love tulips, so we thought we’d take this chance to provide you with a bit of information about these gorgeous perennials. Perennials? Yup. Many people treat them like annuals, replanting bulbs every fall. However, if left in the ground, tulip bulbs will produce smaller bulbs the following year (called offsets) attached to the main parent bulb.
