Countdown to Summer... Feels like it already!

Hi there,

We hope everybody is enjoying this exceptional weather! We'd like to take this moment to remind everyone to also think about watering all the plants enough during this hot spell. Click here to read our Watering Instructions.

We're crossing our fingers that this weekend will be the perfect planting weather.

Summer Colour

For those people that are changing early spring planted flower beds (tulips, daffodils, pansies, etc) to colourful summer beds, we still have a really good selection of summer flowers. In full bloom are geraniums, petunias, marigolds, dahlias, osteospermum (quite deer resistant), lobelia, and other annual flowers.

Basket Stuffers Still Available

Bob, our greenhouse manager, has been able to keep basket stuffers and groundcovers well stocked! These include bacopa, calceolaria, strawflowers, lotus vine, fan flowers, and many more. He will be even bringing out a very late planting (they are still small) of ipomeas including marguerite.

Petunias & Calibrachoas

Wave and some other trailing and mounding petunias including calibrachoas (million bells) will be available on table C5 to C9.

Veggies Ready for Planting

For those who missed planting vegetables, don't worry there is still plenty of time even for tomatoes. Cucumbers, melons, squashes, and pumpkins are finally all available at a good size to plant and can be found on table A16 North.

As well, the last planting of hardy vegetable (lettuce, broccoli, kale, cauliflower, etc.) are in a good transplanting size now.
