Specialty Perennials
Looking to fill in that garden bed with something special? We still have a nice selection of some specialty perennials that we have grown, originally from the breeding program of Terra Nova Nurseries--an outstanding source for new and exciting varieties and superior hybrids of old favourites for 22 years.
Acanthus 'Whitewater': This vigorous, variegated variety has striking, bold leaves with deeply cut white margins and splashing on the leaves. It forms a large clump with 4 foot tall showy flower stalks with pink and cream flowers in summer. Worthwhile growing even though not hardy for our zone, overwintering in a heated garage or shed. Found on table D3.

Actaea 'Black Negligee': Lacy black foliage just cloaks the lovely dark stems. Beautiful purple-tinted, white flowers project 2 feet upward and carry an exotic perfume of grape and jasmine. The most vigorous of all the dark varieties and hardy to zone 5. Look for this on table F6.

Showcasing large, orange-yellow, semi-double flowers this variety is one of the most impressive orange blooming perennials in the Spring. Now starting to bloom on table F12.
