Specialty and Heirloom Tomatoes
Specialty Tomatoes - try one that's not red!
The Specialty and Heirloom tomatoes will be set up on table A17 north for Saturday morning. With over 100 varieties you are sure to find one that interests you! At harvest, they will have cherry, grape, plum, pear, beefsteak and paste type fruits in an assortment of colours! Our full selection of 4" peppers can be found on table A13 south. Here you will find some varieties that we only plant in our 4" pot production, including Oriole (an orange one), Early Red and some unique hot varieties.
The Calibrachoa set up has begun, you can find a selection of 4" and 2.5" pots on table C5.
There is now a nice variety of 2.5" Verbena available in a wide range of colours on table D10.
Zinnias are available in 4 packs as well as single colours are now on table A11 south and A10 north.
A fine assortment of Osteospermum (Cape Daisy/African Daisy) is on table D15 and are just starting to show colour.
Intersectional Hybrid Peony
Best of Both Worlds - Peonies
Have you heard of ITOH Peonies? Intersectional Hybrid Peonies result from the cross breeding of different peony types, such as garden types with tree peony types. This results in a hybrid which takes the best traits from both parents, creating nice hardy peonies with intense new colours and flower sizes. We have a small selection of these specialty Peonies located with our regular selection on table F3.
