Greetings!

We have been very busy these last four weeks hanging up all the hanging baskets that we prepared and planted over the winter months.  Now with some sunshine, water and fertilizer, they will grow into some beautiful baskets for your houses and decks, to enjoy this summer!

Seed Petunias and 99 (no kidding!) varieties of Hostas

Grandiflora Daddy Sugar Petunia
Our first planting of 4 pack seed Petunias will be set up Friday morning, on their regular table C14 to C19.

We are right on schedule setting up our full selection of perennials, starting this week with the Hostas. All 99 stunning varieties can be found on table F4.

If you haven't had the opportunity to come by yet, you are missing out on a beautiful and wonderfully fragrant display of pre-potted bulbs.  There are many different varieties of Daffodils and Hyacinth budding or in bloom, out in selling section 'B'.  Suzy, one of the most fragrant varieties of daffodils, delights the senses!  Also in this section you will find Pansy planters and hanging baskets as well as mixed hardy fibre pots and planters to brighten your doorstep, deck or driveway.

Seed Potatoes Arrive Today!

Our shipment of seed potatoes will be arriving on Friday from Grandforks.  Come by for your favourite varieties including Warba, Norland, Norgold Russet, Pontiac, Russet Burbank, Yukon Gold, Kennebec and Bintje.  Look for our potato classification chart beside the seed potato rack you decide what variety is right for you.

Just a little reminder on how hardy the early season vegetables are!  This picture was taken last Sunday with no ill effects on the crop!  The little cages around the plants are "Quail guards".  As we mentioned before, we have a full selection of hardy vegetables available and some early tomatoes and peppers.

Congratulations to our Weekly Winner!

Phyllis Peterson, enjoy your Garden Essentials Gift Basket!

(Please come in and pick it up at The Greenery anytime we're open.)
