First Week Flurry!

Greetings!

What a remarkable first week it was!  It was so great to see a lot of familiar faces stop by for a look around and try to soothe some of that gardening itch that set in over the winter.  The weather has been exceptionally mild even with the recent snowfall.  Let's hope it continues so we can keep this Spring excitement going!

From Bulb to Flowering Sunshine: Dahlia and Gladiolus

Yes! They are available again with over 45 varieties of Dinnerplate, Decorative, Cactus flowering, and Fringed Dahlia bulbs. It is impossible to not have one of these beauties catch your eye!

Check out some of the new Fringed varieties including "Lindsay Michelle" and "Aitara Bronwyn", or one of our recent favourites called "Firebird".  In the way of Gladiolus, we have some very unique novelty varieties like "Halloween", "Velvet Eye", "Kryptonite", and a new red and white speckled variety called "Zizane".

Martha Washington Stock Pots

Stock Up on Geranium Stock Pots

This is our best crop of stock pots yet, with some unbelievable 14" Zonal and Interspecific Geranium specimens.

And for the first time ever, we have a full selection of highly sought after Martha Washington Pelargonium stock pots.  The unique bi-color flower petals really set these apart from other types of geraniums.

If you love Scented Geraniums, the 12" stock pots are awesome, including the new Fernleaf variety from last season which has been a big hit.

Seed Potatoes and Berries

Seed potatoes have been 'peeling' off the shelves this first week, and the backordered varieties will be here for the start of the weekend, including all the gourmet varieties.

Our family favourite is the Banana Potato.  We had some inquiries about Viking seed potatoes last season, and yes this season we have them.

The full selection of Berries should be available by the weekend as well, including Raspberries, Blackberries, Blueberries, Grapes and Honeyberries. New this year are hardy dwarf cherry varieties "Cupid", "Juliet", "Romeo", and "Valentine".
Tomato Plants

Outgrow-Your-Neighbours Tomato Plants!

For you avid gardeners with small greenhouses or cold frames, we have some great 2 and 5 gallon tomato plants available for $9.99 and $19.99.

Some have fruit on them and the plants in the 5 gallon pots are 7-8 feet tall already, they can just be carefully laid down to transport home.

Also we have some stalky plants of "Red Robin" and "Tumbler" available in 6" pots as well as an early selection of 4" potted varieties.

Now is the time to plant your early crop of hardy vegetables including Lettuce, Broccoli, Cabbage, Kale, Onions, Chives, Garlic, Cilantro and Parsley.  All available in a temporary location on table C6.
