Longer Hours & Extra Parking

Greetings!

With the weather improving and more people thinking about gardening, we would like to remind you that we are open until 6pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and will be open until 7pm for the five Fridays in May.

We will also open the side gate on Longhill Rd, just around the corner from our main entrance, where you can diagonally park alongside our fence and walk into our regular parking lot.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Unique Vines & Tropical Plants

The trend of growing unique plants in containers continues to grow, which is why we are pleased to have a complete set up (on table A10 North) of specialty tropical plants and vines available for this weekend.

The most popular of these is the Mandevilla vine, where we have the Sun Parasol series.  This series is a completely new collection of Mandevilla hybrids including the first genuine crimson that stays true to colour.  They are known for ease of growing, continuous blooms, and disease resistance.
"Red Fury" Mandevilla
"Red/Lilac" Clerodendrum
"Elizabeth Angus" Bougainvillea
Blue Butterfly Flower
"White/Red" Clerodendrum
For the first time we have a decent number of Bougainvillea plants available in 4.5" square pots for $4.99.  We also have three varieties of Jasmine and eight varieties of Thunbergia, including the royal blue "Samantha".

Some great new additions for this season are Blue Butterfly Flower, Ruttyruspolia, two varieties of Pandorea "Pink Delight'" and "Raspberry Eye", as well as a Red/Lilac Clerodendrum to join the White/Red variety we had last season.
Raymond Evison Clematis Collection & Bamboo

Raymond Evison Clematis Shimmer
Raymond Evison Clematis "Shimmer"
A collection of these new Clematis and hardy Bamboo has arrived!  Our varieties of Bamboo are clumping types that make great living screens or hedges, and are hardy for our zone.

This collection of Clematis was developed by Raymond Evison, a world famous preeminent breeder of Clematis, and blooms longer and blooms more!  In fact, under the right conditions, some varieties can bloom from June through to October.  In keeping with trends in the market, most are shorter growing and therefore best suited for containers and today's smaller gardens.
Calla Lily "Picasso"
Vibrant Calla & Canna Lilies

We now have our selection of Dutch Calla Lilies available! With vibrant colours, larger flowers, and stronger stems, they will be a great addition to your patio containers or flower beds.

Choose from 12 varieties with colours of bright golden yellow, reds, orange, pink, midnight purple and even black!

We also have the three varieties from the Tropicanna Canna Lily Series: "Tropicanna Gold", "Tropicanna Black", and the original "Tropicanna".  These are perfect as a centrepiece in a large container and are great around ponds or other bodies of water.

Add A "Splash" of Colour with Water Plants!

Our first shipment of water plants has arrived, including Water Hyacinth floaters.

Marsh Marigold, Variegated Cattail, Marsh Fern, Variegated Water Iris and Water Baby's Breath, as well as a selection of Hardy Water Lilies in various colours are available.

And finally we have brought out both the varieties of Cyperus Papyrus that everyone has been waiting for: "Little Tutt" and "King Tutt". These make great water feature specimens as well as unique centrepieces for annual planters.

We also have water plant soil and different sizes of net pots available.
Waving Petunia BasketsLearn From The Masters of Gardening

They will be ready to answer your questions and offer advice for your landscape and planting plans for this season.
